- How do I provide you with samples for sequencing?
After specifying the type of service and the number of samples - we agree on a date convenient for you and we send a courier to collect the samples, which will be delivered to us.
- Is there a specific way to describe samples sent for sequencing?
Yes, after placing an order for the service, we will provide you with"sample information form"to be completed: number of samples; exact names without Polish characters; description of the origin of the samples (genotype), sample volume and concentration; possible biological / technical repetitions, treatment, etc.
- Could you please guide how best to describe and package the samples before shipment?
All information can be found in the "To download" tab in the file "Recommendations for sample preparation". Clearly label each sample container (tube) with the sample identification name. Wrap the lid of each tube with parafilm. Place the sample tubes in a hard protective container so that the tubes do not move during transport. Secure the container against opening.
- I don't want to retrieve data / sequencing results from a virtual disk. Is it possible to provide data differently?
Of course. Several options are available for the delivery of results. We can use an SFTP file system or an account on a virtual drive or provide you with data on an external drive. The consultant will agree with you on the data delivery method while deciding on the order details.
- I did not choose bioinformatics analysis when ordering the library prep and sequencing service. Is it possible to add the analysis after receiving the sequencing results?
Yes, you can take advantage of our bioinformatics services for a period of 14 days from receiving the sequencing results.
- I'm planning an RNA-seq analysis. I'm working on bacterial RNA. Which method of libraries prep will be more appropriate? Poly-A enrichment or rRNA Depletion?
In the case of prokaryotic organisms, such as bacteria, the rRNA depletion method should be selected because the mRNA of prokaryotes does not contain polyadenylated ends, the so-called poly-A.
