The turnaround time of the service depends on many variables, therefore it is impossible to determine how long it will take without knowing the details of the planned analysis.

Turnaround time (TAT) depends on several factors, including:

WHAT DOES IT DEPEND ON?4 factors
scope of the orderi.e. whether the order includes nucleic acid extraction, library preparation, sequencing and bioinformatics analysis? Or sequencing alone? Each stage takes a certain amount of time, so the more complex the order, the longer the turnaround time.
type of analysisBecause different services require different instruments, turnaround time also depends on the type of analysis. For example, an order for small RNA-seq usually takes several days longer than mRNA-seq.
method of results deliveryand the amount of final project data. The more data a project generates, the more time is required to prepare and provide access to it. If the results are to be sent by post, the delivery time for the external drive must also be included.
quality of the supplied materialfor analysis. Sample quality is a key element of order fulfilment and can significantly affect turnaround time. If even one supplied sample fails the quality requirements assessed during quality control (QC) and, according to the quality criteria is not eligible for library preparation, the analysis is put on hold until the client decides how to proceed with that sample.
