Genomic studies reveal the structure, organisation and variation of genetic material. Depending on the project objective, analysis may cover the whole genome, coding regions or selected DNA fragments. We offer solutions for analysing human, plant, animal and microbial genomes. We carry out projects involving reference-based resequencing, identification of genetic variants, genotyping and de novo genome assembly.
We help select the appropriate sequencing method, required data output and bioinformatics analysis scope based on the organism, biological material quality, number of samples and research objectives. Select the service you are interested in to learn about available options, material requirements and the possible project scope.
- Whole Genome Sequencing - Whole-genome sequencing enables analysis of an organism's complete genetic material. Depending on the project objective, it can be used for reference-based resequencing, variant identification or genome assembly de novo.
- Human WGS - Whole-genome sequencing of humans for research projects. It enables comprehensive identification of genetic variation, including variation outside coding regions. The analysis may include identification of SNPs, InDels, CNVs and structural variants.
- Plant & Animal WGS - Sequencing plant and animal genomes for resequencing, population-genomics and de novogenome-assembly projects. We tailor the approach to genome size and complexity, heterozygosity, repetitive-sequence content and the expected assembly quality.
- Microbe WGS - Whole-genome sequencing of bacteria, fungi and other microorganisms. The service may include organism identification, resequencing, de novogenome assembly, genome annotation and analysis of differences between strains or isolates.
- Whole Exome Sequencing - Whole Exome Sequencing focuses on protein-coding regions of the genome. WES is an efficient solution for projects primarily aimed at identifying variants in exons without the need for Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS).
- Genotyping & Reduced Representation Sequencing - Genotyping and reduced-representation sequencing methods enable analysis of genetic variation in large sample groups while limiting the amount of data generated. They are used, among other applications, in population genomics, genetic-diversity analysis, trait mapping and association studies. SLAF-seq, or Specific-Locus Amplified Fragment Sequencing, sequences selected genome fragments and enables identification and genotyping of large numbers of markers. It is particularly useful for projects involving many individuals, including population analyses, genetic mapping, GWAS studies and marker-assisted selection.
Which service should you choose?
Do you need information about the whole genome?
Choose Whole Genome Sequencing. Then select the solution intended for humans, plants and animals or microorganisms.
Are you primarily interested in coding regions?
Consider Whole Exome Sequencing, which focuses on exons and the variants they contain.
Are you analysing a large number of individuals?
Genotyping & Reduced Representation Sequencing Genotyping & Reduced Representation Sequencing - SLAF-seq- limit the scope of the sequenced genome and optimise the cost of population projects.
Plan your project
The appropriate method depends on the regulatory mechanism being studied, sample type, genome size and expected analytical resolution. Provide us with information about the organism, sample types, number of experimental groups and study objective, and we will help you select the appropriate technology and scope of data analysis.
